Ok I checked out the link. I saw a few pics but no I didn't shed a tear. My heart sunk though. A real shame this stuff can be disposed of in such a ill fated way. What a world we live in huh? |

i'm a collector of military things. I know that if you sell one of that mauser k98 you'll get about 250 euros. And it's not for shooting....just as a decoration in your room. |

Yah decoration is all they should be used for. I imagine you're not the only collector. Do you have any vintage WW1 or WW2 stuff? |

Wow that's some collection. Sure I'd love to see some pics. Do you know what those german helmuts are called? They have the point on top or spire looking effect? |

did you mean this helmet http://www.firstaif.info/42/images-42/german-helmet.jpg
this helmet is an austrian hlemet before ww1. we know different kinds of helmets like this is. they were carried by officers and just an ordinary soldiers. it's called pickelhaube
here are some pictures of my collection
this is a magazine from ww2. domobranci were yugoslavian "traitors" who worked for german army
a russian helmet from ww2....canteen is italian from ww2...german plate...the bullets are for italian carcano rifle
bayonet was german from ww1 for mauser k98 but yougoslavia has remake it for their mauser m24...italian gasmask with german filter...picture of partisan...JNA officer epaulets
a yugoslavian army (JNA) infantry officer of 1. class
many kinds of bullets...behind second thing from the left is an artillery gun bullet I think it's from ww1
german boots-officer boots
this isn't my whole collection. I also have a lot of old money, military pictures, map, hats,... |

That's an amazing collection. Are there special meets just for this type of memorabilia? It must be worth something..very vintage items. Anyway the pictures of helmets weren't exactly what I envisioned. Were the motorcycle helmets the ones with the point or spire? I may be mixing it up with some movie memorabilia. |

sorry didn't understand you..what type do you mean
as I said all of soldiers were carrying helmet with spire on top. motorized troops, infantry,all...only generals, officers and some special troops were carrying helmets whith some special spire on it....like dragon helmet or they had just some freaky points on the top. hope I cleared your mind now
I just found another helmet called "berndorfer" also a german helmet. it doesn't has a spire but it has a point. on this point a soldier (who was looking through the binocular at the enemy positions) pinned on shield so he had lass chance to be killed by sniper. |

Ok I guess they are the right ones. The picture just didn't have them. Do you also like war genre movies? I think one of my favorites is still Platoon. Full Metal Jacket was good and Apocolyspe Now. |
