''The soviet underground nuclear test ''Urt-Bulak'', August 30 1966, Urta-Bulak, Uzbekistan. A nuclear test was included within the Program # 7 (Nuclear Explosions for the National Economy). It is the first detonation in order to extinguish a gas well.
The bomb was detonated at 1532 m depth. Yield 30 kt.''

The last of those 4 videos is of the Taiga Experiment in the Semipalatinsk test area.
The first video labled as Grach or Grachevskij. I cannot find any information on that test. I assume that it is mis-labled or mis-spelled. Can anyone find any more information on it? |

I found this:
''1965 and 1980 - five explosions "Bhutan", Grachevskij oil field, 40 km east of the city of Meleuz, Bashkortostan, Russia. Intensification of oil and gas. Capacity of 2.3 to 3.2 kilotons.''
In wikipedia appear ''five explosions in 1980'', while in the second link are 3 tests ''Bhutan''in 1965 and two in 1980.
(Sorry for my bad English) |

Your English is fine, and thanks for your help with this. Based on the quality of the footage, I'm going with the the three shots on 1965. |

Yes. I agree with you that are testing of 1965 for the quality of footage.
A question:
In the Taiga test used three simultaneous devices. In the footage can see three peaks in the ’dust cloud’ (not as it is called). This is produced by the collision of shock waves among the blasts?
Another:
I know the page already has many faults, but I have to leave the doubt.
http://www.poligon.kz/gallery/?cat=7&page=2&vtype=big
In the site says the photos correspond to two different tests. The first would be the real Chagan, while the second is a another test, was call ''Sobaka'' ('Dog' by the shape of the mushroom cloud). Location, date and yield is unknow.
The justification? When the Chagan test was conducted had snow, while in the photographs of Sobaka is not seen snow.
Who think? |
