    LINK

Russian press is proposing using a nuclear warhead to seal the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico.

Um, this is not an oil well fire, and they use conventional explosives for those -- do some research on Red Adair. This leak is thousands of feet under water.

Russians would love nothing more than to create nuclear contamination of a vast American oil drilling bed, to drive up crude prices worldwide. Their motive seems to give severe misguidance to financially drive their supernationalistic bullying crusade again -- happens every time crude prices spike to finance them.

Notice the newspaper title, a communist newspaper:

    Комсомо́льская пра́вда

There are still some ideologues in the world still trying to believe this nonsense too (not to forget human global warming ecosocialist zombie ideology as well):

Here is official Soviet propaganda footage of their using a nuclear bomb to seal a massive gas leak. (Real sound of the detonation included[?])

The film never tells if gas were ever used from this well site again. Recall that gas from American peaceful nuclear explosions (PNEs) was never used, because of the high radioactivity of the underground gas contamination.

Sonicbomb will likely add this video to the Russian nuclear program films list section.

MOABs seem a much better alternative. Earthquake bombs are not a new concept.

My charged offense at a nuclear explosion is how well radioactive contamination could easily be used as an excuse to drive up global crude energy prices, feeding dictators' and other villians' pockets while gouging pocketbooks of the masses. ... Not to ignore Marc Rich, who was very much in unison behind the last oil spike two years ago.

    Then there's ...
