Absolutely unbelievable
"A group of people last week managed to penetrate deep onto Kleine Brogel Air Base in Belgium where the U.S. Air Force currently deploys 10-20 nuclear bombs. Fortunately, the people were not terrorists but peace activists from a group known as Vredesactie, who managed to climb the outer base fence, walk cross the runway, breach a double-fenced security perimeter, and walk into the very center of the air base alongside the aircraft shelters where the nuclear bombs are thought to be stored in underground vaults. The activists penetrated nearly one kilometer onto the base over more than an hour before a single armed security guard appeared and asked what they were doing. Soon more arrived to arrest the activists, who later described: “The military blindfolded for hours, they forced us to kneel in the snow, arms outstretched at 90° and threatened us if we intend to return to the base in the months to come.” The activists videotaped their entire walk across the base. The security personnel confiscated cameras, but the activists removed the memory card first and smuggled it out of the base.

Pretty unreal. Interesting to see that hole in the fence before they were even there. I wonder what all that is about. |

Good find, these people are a little bit stupid for entering a nuclear base, but they are right though, it is ridiculous they are still training crews to drop the bomb, what are two dozen tactical B-61 delivered by an F-16 from Belgium going to do against Russia or even China? and where are their targets? East Berlin ?
They should absolutely get rid of those weapons, besides having and mantaining a singe nuclear weapon costs a lot of money, and in this hard times people should not allow their money being wasted like that in a completely absurd weapon system... |

I live about 1 mile from the base.
I don't know for sure if the protesters know
what they are doing because their actions are
kind of retarded. Instead of trying to access the
actual complex that houses the bombs they just
jump some fences to gain access to the airfield
complex which in reality are 2 different locations.
Let me explain with a photo :
The big red complex is the airfield complex.
The yellow arrow is the place the protesters
always jump over some fences to access the
runway. The little red complex to the north is
the actual bomb complex. The airfield is only
guarded by lame belgian soldiers as
opposed to the nutty american bunch guarding the
little north complex.
It's just a symbolic action.
