GM goat spins web based future

A goat that produces spider's web protein is about to revolutionise the materials industry. Stronger and more flexible than steel, spider silk offers a lightweight alternative to carbon fibre.

Up to now it has been impossible to produce "spider fibre" on a commercial scale. Unlike silk worms, spiders are too anti-social to farm successfully. Now a Canadian company claims to be on the verge of producing unlimited quantities of spider silk - in goat's milk.

Using techniques similar to those used to produce Dolly the sheep, scientists at Nexia Biotechnologies in Quebec have bred goats with spider genes.

The possibility of bullet proof clothing, not just vests, is too appetizing. Mostly for police, military, and aerospace engineers.

Although that's a discussion for another topic, I have to wonder if guns were legally allowed in churches, how many law abiding citizens would have been able to take a shot at that asshole's head.

Then there's the shooting in Alabama today. 10 people dead. I'm sure comrade Obama will use that as ammo against gun rights. The whole thing sucks. Innocent people shot to death, then the rights of the innocent peopl will be diminished. That sounds like a great idea. Rolling Eyes

Of all the places a gunman would feel safe, and without fear of reponse.
Where else, but where there are unarmed citizens. "obama" will undoubtedly use this and other examples of idiots with guns.
I have handled and been around guns my entire existence, difference would be.......
My parents raised my brother and I responsibly, treating weapons the way they should be, and the morality to know shooting another human is very serious business with very few exceptions, done only in self-preservation, or in war. Then knowing when to use deadly force or knock down.
As witnessed by my signature, and with the collective knowledge of the Army poured into my brain, knowledge removes all doubts on target identification and the ability coupled with the skill required, to remove from same, its existence.
