    Infortunatly quality is low (300 to 400p)

    The declassification and scanning project is a joint project with LLNL & LANL. There are around 6000 estimated to be scanned and declassified between the two agencies.

    I will see if I can acquire higher resolution scans from my contact at LANL... May take some time as they are pretty short staffed in their archival department.

    The scan posterization (stepped gradient) of them is awful in many. The Koon shot is laughable.

    On a different but related topic, Mr. Kuran told me he is fighting with the feds to have all the DoE films -- the films among the tapes we all know about from the Las Vegas archive -- rescanned. He even knows what original equipment was used to scan the 1990s releases. The yellow banding defects in them are modulations from audio, because the declassification crews didn't know what they were doing.

    It's easy to understand why he doesn't make all his footages public. Some took over a year to declassify, and big bucks paid up front, before the process started. It's a personal struggle to make them happen.
